Happy thanksgiving!

Happy thanksgiving! It's the time of the year where we look back and find those blessings we never thought we had and those that are obviously under appreciated. I would like to give thanks to people who read this blog, one time or another, thank you for your support. I would like give thanks to my mother, who always supported me and taught me valuable lessons of life, thank you very much mom!  I would like to give thanks to my friends in and outside of school, for you have brightened my life and give me laughs and great memories, thank you so much and I am grateful to know each one of you! I would like to give thanks to my teachers, thank you for teaching us. I would like to give special thanks to my school teachers who wrote my recommendation letters and corrected my college essays over and over again, sorry for bothering you so much, Ms, Toews but thank you very much! I would like to thank Karen and Jenni, thank you for helping me with my Stanford application, thank you very much! I want to thank my father for the financial support and visiting us this year, thank you dad! I want to give thanks that my family here and in China is healthy and able to enjoy the wonderful meals. I want to give thanks that my mother is doing great in her school. THANK YOU, everyone!
Mostly importantly, I want to give thanks to Jesus Christ, my personal savior. For you have done great things in my life and without you nothing can be done! For I cherish your blessing in my life and remember your good works. For all the good things come from you, for your love and grace and patience and forgiveness. Thank you Lord!

And with that, happy thanksgiving!!!

Confinement

Confinement
Is drilled to the world
The sky is
Closing like the drips

On us

All colors
Fade into black walls
Sunlight
Has left us in the hall

O, ohhhh

Chorus
You give the golden lock a kiss
I know that Ignorance is not a bliss
This earth can't contain us
It's ready to be burst oh ya

This is a short one. I am still looking for the rest of it, or it might just be a really short song. One or the other.

May all the honor and glories be onto you, oh Lord my God!
Amen

Restart

Ever since I was a little boy I knew
That nothing was impossible
Then I grow up to be more like you
Now I am lost, crossed and confused

I was looking for something I thought I knew
But I lost it all to myself
It was an pitiful fight
No more blood since it has ran dry

One more chorus added to my life
Can it save me from all of my crimes
Oh tell me if this silver necklace
if this necklace is able to shine

Chorus
So zip up my mouth
And start me over again
Let my battery recharge
And my head rewind

I opened my doors and let you see
What a mess have I came to be
I missed my faith and lost the key
What a pity oh what a pity on me

So I opened my eyes to let my heart cool down
There was time when it was over running
To cross the distance of two continents
This is the punishment that I am learning

End Bridge
When that church bell rings and hurries me up
I knows it's time to open my heart
Let us start again
Let us start again

I did not intentionally frame or shape this one; it, more or less, stood out like it is. It was during a guitar secession and with somewhat random words that I discovered this bare, but truthful song. I must say that it is partly a confession to do this piece justice.  I must also say that this is one of my favorites which I held dear to my heart, like a genuine, plain, yet unrefined crystal.

Back before you awakes

Heard a place that's far away
Distance is too far to measure by day
So turn around
Say goodbye and Wave

Gained pride but lost your faith
Ruined Heart in my place
Oh please
Please don't turn away

Chorus
I will be back
Back before you awakes

Thinking of what would you say
When you know that I am on my way
And I will be back
Back before you awakes

Bridge
Walking through sunshine and rain
Going through happiness and pain
I wouldn't be far
I will be back before you awakes

Sing a song now
Let your voice be heard
Don't cry now, love
I won't be far

I wrote this one sometimes during 10th grade. I do not remember what was I thinking or feeling when this one escaped from my pen, but overall, I do like this song.
College is getting closer each day now, anxiety is a given, but some how, I feel somewhat peaceful. The worst situation is that I have to go back to China, and the best is that I can stay here with a full scholarship. Which ever one happens, maybe somewhere in between, God is always there with me, so, it wouldn't be the end of the world for me.
But if I do get in college, even though I am only a junior, I think I can do it.
Praise God and the work he has done.

Something of you

I broke my heart
And it became two
I never Known
How much I have to lose

Crack my shell
And let me stand
All I need now
Is a helping hand

And you came along
Set me on a rock
While I try
To decipher the truth

Chorus 1
This is my cry
For everything I have tried
This my life
That is pieced together

Chorus 2
This is my light
To show me where you are
This is a flight
A flight to your side

I have wrote
letters and words
So you will
Know where I hurt

You have told
and You have come
I turned around
And you I have found

I will not stay
I will not rest
From You my heart
now found my place

This is a song about Jesus and the good works he has done. I really like this one a lot, it really speaks to me. I hope you will enjoy it as much I do. Sorry I haven't update my blog for a while, school have been busy and college application have been taking most of my free time away,  but I will manage to update this blog at least once a week. Thanks.

Oh Lord!

I am surrounded yet feel lonely
still trying to fit in
take off the mask that I am wearing
already stopped trying
Oh wait Oh wait
When everything fades away
When she is out of my fate
What do I have left

When Hope starts to run away
What happiness is out of sight
Now where do I look at
Anything could turn the wrong way
But I know this
Lord Jesus, You got my back

Oh Lord Oh Lord
When all the hope has ran away
All I can do is put my self in you
You are my hope and my love
My Savior that is nor of this world

When trial comes
When suffering begins
I will do it for you
Because you died for me and saved my life

This song is especially meaningful to me, as it was served to honor the Lord and second, it was the first set of lyrics that 's used and performed in front of a live audience. It was the summer of 2008,at the South West Bible Camp, talent show night. I was honored to have my friend David to put music to it and sang it. Afterwards, people told me that they really liked my lyrics, thus I was more encouraged to write more and more. And now I can't stop.

and by the Way, I just though of something that could apply to all my lyrics.

All the lyrics have a story behind them.

I will see you sometimes

Just trust me now
Words never fail to shout
Every time you closed your mouth
There's a impending answer

Once or Twice
I have dreamed of you
But it still doesn't make me any closer
Than I used too

Because That world of beliefs
That world of hearts
That world of high times
It's all of you combined

Chorus
Just let me say good bye
Just let me say good night
The world will keep on spinning
and I will see you sometimes

Let me answer your Questions
Let me quiet down your mind
Storms will always comes an end
While the Sun will always shines

So All you will Ignites that Fire
TO guide you where you need to go
You will always fly higher
once you feel the world is yours

Its' a beautiful night
Its a beautiful life
just close your eyes
just let me say goodbye

I havent updated in a long long long time. Homeworks upon homeworks, upon test preparations and college application, sorry, I will try to make it as regular as possible starting now!
