The forgotten youth

Evanescent youth, come and go
Your entire dream is buried below
Do you still remember that feeling
When your heart beats more than it used to

Do you remember the time
Where you thought you are the king
Do you remember the feeling
When you didn’t give a dame about anything

That your teacher used to say
You need to behave

Chorus
Have you forgot about when you were young
Have you forgot about when thing go astray
That mountain looks bigger than it sounds
No more excuse no turning around

Now You are mid aged man sitting behind a desk
File and paper has buried your eyes
You know where to go
But  you are going very slow

Chorous again

Oh yes you did (x4)
Haven’t you noticed by now
Nevermind you don’t have any time
But you lost something that have been erased

You know you know how to behave
But you don’t know how to be in a bright place
I can see it in your eyes
Your soul is dead inside

Oh yes it is  (x4)
Haven’t you noticed by now
You know how to behave
But you lost something that have been erased

Do you remember the time
When you are the king
Do you remember the feeling
When you lost everything
But you can pull it through
Running straight ahead is the proof
That you forgot that feeling now

I wrote this down after I was in trouble in school (only one time, 10th grade), out of my bitter resentment towards the judgement of the adults and my praises of the young generation and the youthful spirit we have,  here comes "the forgotten youth"
